Third Grade Tracks for Sept. 28th

Good morning!  We had lots fun and new ways for learning this week.  One of the most exciting days was Tuesday, when we were able to enter the Science Lab and let our minds wrap around investigating weight.  It was a fun and enjoyable time.  I am so proud of my students as they continue to receive daily compliments from other adults on campus about how they share their space and time with our ALE friends.  They have made sure our friends from ALE are part of the community we are building. So proud of them! Don’t forget, October 16th is our field trip to Honey Creek!  We are still in need of a few more chaperones so click on the link to sign-up genius, http://www.signupgenius.com/go/805094baaa928a02-honey, and join us for a fun-filled day of exploration.  Thank you to all those who will be running each station!  This field trip couldn’t happen without your time at these stations. Remember, click on my Classroom News to find out all we will be learning next week!  I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.  I will be busy with Homecoming fun this weekend with my Freshman! Third Grade Tracks, Sept. 21st

It has been another, hard-working, digging into curriculum kind of week!  We enjoyed:  learning about the Place Value Chart- creating numbers, our own SCHEMA in reading, we had fun investigating with Mass in Science, and we placed ourselves on a map/location, coming in from space in Social Studies. Don’t forget to go to Classroom News to view next weeks upcoming events!  Some highlights, we need chaperones for our Field Trip to Honey Creek on October 16th.  Please let me know if you can volunteer!  A big thank you to those who have trained and will be running the stations on the field trip.  Without you, this field trip couldn’t happen! Have a fun-filled, enjoyable weekend! I will be busy preparing for the upcoming Homecoming for my daughter.  Oh the joys of high school! Mrs....

Mrs. Hidalgo’s Heroes

We have written and come up with our Class Mission: Mrs. Hidalgo’s Heroes will respect each other as a community of leaders.  We will be honest to everyone and use our 7-Habits.  We pledge to be “Bucket Fillers”!  I think the students did an awesome job and have created a great statement about our...

Upcoming events and news!

Another week has been completed and we continue to work hard, build community, and enjoy our buddies in Third Grade.   It has been a joy to meet all the Grandparents that have come to eat lunch and enjoy time with their Grandchildren.  Today we spent our day learning about and celebrating our FREEDOM!  Be sure to have your child share what they have learned. Honey Creek Field Trip has been scheduled for October 16th!  Thank you to the parents who have volunteered their time to be working the stations during the field trip.  If you aren’t volunteering for a station, there is still a need for chaperones to get the students to each station.  Remember, if you haven’t already, check your Volunteer Status so you will be able to come and enjoy a fun day “in the park”! Don’t forget to go to Classroom News and see what happenings are coming up in the next few weeks!  We still need lots of pennies to reach our goal of 1,000.  Thank you to all of you who have donated! Enjoy your weekend and family time! Cordially, Mrs....
